A fully dedicated design ensuring centered steering.
This mounting frame with side stays*2 represents a dedicated design for mounting of full bucket seats in a Porsche 911*1. Because of the floor configuration of the Porsche 911, the replacement seat is offset to the door side during installation. This seat offers centered steering and a low seating position.
*1 Products for models 930, 964 and 993 are interchangeable with those for models 928, 944 and 968.
*2 Side stays are designed only for products for models 996, 997 and 991.
Detail
Smooth sliding is assured.
Welding heat is the primary cause of slider hardening. The mounting frame and sliders of this model are secured with rivets*1 to prevent thermal distortion of the metal sliders. Direct welding of sliders is performed only as an auxiliary process to minimize the number of spot welds.
For vehicles that require transfer of the original-equipment seat belt buckle to the seat rail, the seat belt buckle stay is fixed with rivets*2. Smoother sliding action is achieved by the elimination of distortion due to welding heat.
*1 For products for models 930, 964 and 993, the slider is installed directly to the vehicle floor.
*2 The belt buckle stays are welded to the side stays in products for models 996, 997 and 991.
The general-purpose side stays accommodate many seat models.
The bolt holes used for mounting the seat itself are cut into elongated and diagonal shapes. In addition, the bolt holes for attaching to the sliders are elongated, which allows for mounting of many seat models. Moreover, in addition to offering fine adjustments of seat height and seat angle, this seat rail provides lateral seat adjustment to the left and right.
It is possible to install a seat with a mounting width of up to 450 mm at the center of the steering wheel by changing the orientation of the sliders during installation.
This seat rail is also compatible with seats with a high bolt-hole mounting position,* such as the Recaro RS-G. In addition, weight-relief holes are provided for maximum weight reduction.
Includes seat-mounting bolts.
All bolts required to mount the seat are included. Your current seat can be mounted only with these bolts.

“Seat mounting width” explained
We suggest measuring the width of the seat across its bottom as shown in the image. Measure from the surfaces that mount to the side stays.
If the front and rear of the seat vary in width, measure the seat at its widest point.
